Dear Christian Parents,

God bless you and your family in the name of Jesus, our Lord. Ihope your summer has gone well and I pray that you have enjoyed God'smany blessings. This packet of materials is designed to help youregister your children in Christ Lutheran School for the 2003-2004school year. You may register by mail if you wish, howeverregistration day will be held as usual on Thursday, August 7, in theschool gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for you to register inperson. Enclosed in this packet please find the following:

1. Registration information: Registration can be done by mail (applications for free and reduced hot lunch assistance and registration fees must be returned to CLS office by July 18 if by mail), or on August 7 in the school gymnasium in person.

 

2. Registration Fees Must Be Paid in Full: Any student for which registration

fees have not been paid in full will not be allowed to start classes on the first day of school.

 

3. Financial help forms: The Christ Lutheran School Board has decided to use the services of Confidential Financial Analysis for parents requesting financial help. With this system, parents complete a form supplied by CFA, either on line at www.online-cfa.com (user ID: fact) (password: cfanow) (school number: 15536) or on forms available at the school office. Families wishing to apply for assistance will be required to pay a fee of ($18.00 for the paper form: make checks payable to Development Testing Services) ($15.00 on line) for processing. Payment of the fee and completion of the form begins your application for assistance. You must provide the school with a copy of your IRS form 1040 to complete the application. The assistance committee reviews the CFA form and the Form 1040 to make assistance awards. If you are applying by mail, postmark by July 12, or if applying on line, do so by July 18. A copy of your IRS form 1040 from last year should be in the school office by July 18.

 

4. Applications for free and reduced hot lunch: Please find and complete these if you think your family qualifies for this benefit.

 

5. School Calendar: Place the calendar in a prominent place so you can keep track of important school dates.

 

6. Parent Commitment Form: The Drug Free Policy is on the back of the Parent Commitment Form; please complete and sign both forms and send them with the registration forms and fee, or bring them on registration day.

 

7. I Can Help Ministry Form: Complete this form and send it with the registration fee or bring it on registration day.
