Dear Parents,

<*dv_5*>Thank you for reviewing the words and sound and letter sheets that come home. † Your child should recognize and say the name and sound for L, l, O, o . † They should also be able to read the following sight words: † Oh, † Look, † look, † Dick, † Jane, † Baby, † see, † and, † the, † at, † Funny, † funny, † Come, † Spot . † They should be coming home in an envelope to practice at home. †

Your child should also be able to recognize the numbers 1 - 6 out of order and write them in order.

<*dv_4*>Library books from Christ Lutheran Library are due back Tuesday . † Our school policy is that a book has to be returned before another can be checked out.

<*dv_3*>Your child is invited to join grades K - 8 and sing at 8:00AM at Christ Lutheran Church on Sept. 19 th .

<*dv_0*>Pizza Hut and Culvers have reading incentive programs coming in October. † Watch for more information to come home soon.

I will be asking your child their address . † Please practice with them.

If your child is going somewhere after school other than where they normally go please send it in writing and tell me by phone or in person. † If you tell me when I am surrounded by others, I may not remember. † The note and telling me are helpful. † Thank you. †

<*dv_2*>I am enjoying your children! † They are really adapting nicely to All Day Kindergarten . † I am proud of them!

Remember, children learn by our example. † I would encourage you to attend church and Sunday School.
