PRESCHOOL MRS. RIEDEL Feb. 9, 10, 2005 Dear Parents, Once again, we would like to thank all of the parents who helped with our pajama party. It was nice to have such nice weather for our party. Last week I forgot to mention those parents who donated fiberfill or white sheets for the pillows. If you see, Beth Bonderson, Kris Friedrich, Deb. Jensen, Teresa Slahn, Marsha Eckert, and Lori Otten please thank them for their donations. Last week the warm weather really stirred up the mud by our preschool door. Until we get this problem fixed, you might want to leave your car at the front of the school and walk in from the front of the school in order to avoid the mud! (Of course, with the cold weather this week, it hasn't been as much as a problem.) Preschool children to sing at Werner benefit: Malinda Werner attended Christ Lutheran as a child. Now she is a mother of a 5 th and an 8 th grade student at CLS. She was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago. Recently the doctors have said there is nothing more that they can do for her and they sent her home with medicine to manage the pain. There will be a benefit dinner for her in the school gym on Sunday, Feb. 20 th over the noon hour. The children at CLS have been invited to sing. Preschool will be singing with the kindergarten children at 12:00. There will be more information about this in next week's note. GYM NIGHT FOR 2 DAY PRESCHOOL CHILDREN: Gym night for 2 day a.m. children will be this Thursday night at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 10. The children in the 2 day p.m. class will begin at 7:00 p.m. Please plan to arrive about 15 minutes early. Children will come straight to the preschool room and parents can meet in the school gym. Please take your child's coat and keep it with you in the gym. That way the children can leave from the gym as soon as the evening is over. The activities will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. <*dv_4*> NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY: <*dv_0*>Please remember that preschool will not have school on Friday, Feb. 11. VALENTINES DAY PARTIES: <*dv_1*> Parties will be Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 14 & 15. Please have your children bring their Valentines to school on Monday and Tuesday. NEW COMPUTER: <*dv_3*>Thanks to a generous donation by a parent and matching funds by Thrivent. Preschool now has a NEW computer. The children have really been enjoying playing the game.
