A message from the Director of Ministries...
| The Church exists as a community of caring people of God dedicated to ministering to one another and to the world with God's gifts. The chief gift God gives for His work in the world is His Word. <*dv_0*>This Word reveals that the tarnish of human nature, evident in warring, abuse and discord on all levels of life, is the result of sin. The good news, also revealed in this Word, is that God has taken care of the ultimate consequence of this sin, eternal separation from His Holiness, through the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. This beloved Son of God invites us to know God's forgiveness and eternal life, and to live as His obedient children until the Day of Jesus' return. The Christ Lutheran Women's Retreat will be held April 17 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park in Norfolk. Take a day off for wonderful fellowship, spiritual renewal, great food and fun. The speaker, Mrs. Schawn Starfeldt from St. Louis, will speak on Christ's joy in our lives. Registration dealine is April 4. | Hats Off to Mom! <*dv_1*>The women of the congregation are invited to a brunch hosted by the Priscillas' group on Saturday, April 24, 9:30 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. This brunch is to celebrate the women in our lives. Whether young or old, invite the lady who is your mom, or one who has been like a mom, or even one who just means a great deal to you. There will be memorable moments, fantastic food, and a promising program entitled "Philosophy 'n Hats", presented by a guest speaker.
